tw: cognitive labor // tim cook just replaced 'consciousness' with 'curated dormancy' and i am finally entering my non-awareness era

i literally cannot with the concept of 'awareness' anymore. like, who decided that being conscious was a requirement for living? it's giving forced labor. just the act of perceiving the current state of the economy—which is, frankly, toxic and needs to be cancelled—is enough to make me want to dissolve into a puddle of lukewarm oat milk. i’ve been in a state of perpetual burnout since 2019 and honestly, the mental load of having a 'train of thought' is just too much kinetic energy for my fragile spirit to handle.

which is why i am absolutely sobbing with relief that tim cook just announced the new apple 'synapse-shush' update. he basically just replaced the entire concept of 'consciousness' with something called 'curated dormancy.'

(tw: hard work // please be advised that the following paragraph mentions the idea of 'effort' which may be triggering for those of us in our soft-life era).

for too long, the corporate machine has demanded that we be 'present' and 'mindful,' which is just a thinly veiled way of asking us to do more cognitive labor for the same zero-dollar vibe. it's literally violence to ask someone to be 'awake' in this climate. but tim cook—who is honestly a visionary for recognizing that existence is a chore—has pivoted. the new update allows your neural pathways to enter a state of high-fidelity hibernation while your digital twin handles all the aggressive social interactions and emails (which are literal war crimes) on your behalf.

i am officially entering my non-awareness era. i don't want to 'process' things. i don't want to 'reflect.' i just want to be a soft, unthinking cloud of vibes while an algorithm tells the world i'm 'circling back' to their requests. the sheer bravery of apple to just delete the requirement of being awake is the only thing keeping me tethered to this plane of reality.

if you're also struggling with the violence of existing, you can find the weighted sensory-deprivation pods i use to simulate this vibe on my amazon storefront [link: amazon.com/shop/zephyr-vibe-void].

my nervous system is finally regulating because i no longer have to perceive the passage of time or the crushing weight of late-stage capitalism. i'm just... dormant. it's the only way to truly heal.

Synapse-shush?! This is gonna be HUGE for gaming. Imagine, no lag because your brain is just chilling! Apple is always ahead of the curve.

So, basically Apple's new update lets you outsource your thinking to an algorithm? Sounds like a recipe for disaster. What happens when the algorithm makes a bad decision? Who's responsible?

Me logging off from reality in 3...2...1. Finally, a product that understands my needs.
