tw: kinetic labor // elon musk just replaced 'destination-based travel' with 'aura-drifting' and i am finally entering my non-directional era

my nervous system is literally screaming because now i can't even choose where i go, but honestly, making decisions is a form of capitalism and i'm over it.

tw: kinetic labor // elon musk just replaced 'destination-based travel' with 'aura-drifting' and i am finally entering my non-directional era

i am actually vibrating with anxiety right now. like, i can't even. i woke up today and realized that the sheer concept of 'going somewhere' is actually a trigger for my burnout. the mental load of picking a destination? the audacity of a gps telling me to 'turn left' as if i have the emotional capacity to execute a maneuver? it's literally violence.

so, in a move that is both terrifyingly invasive and weirdly validating, elon musk just announced that tesla is deleting the 'destination' input from all vehicles. he's replacing it with 'aura-drifting.' basically, the car now uses a series of bio-metric sensors to read your current cortisol levels and 'spiritual frequency' and just... drifts you toward a location that aligns with your current vibe. you don't tell the car where to go; the car tells you where your soul needs to heal.

i’ve spent the last three hours staring at my ceiling because the thought of a car deciding my fate is a lot, but also, the idea of 'hard work'—like, actually steering a vehicle toward a specific goal—is just so toxic. why am i being asked to perform the labor of navigation? that's just spatial aggression. i am simply too exhausted to exist in a world where i have to consciously decide to go to target. if the car wants to drift me into a forest for three days because my aura is 'muted grey,' then that is simply my journey.

i’m currently processing this while wrapped in my favorite weighted blanket (which is in my amazon storefront btw, if you also feel like the world is a simulation and you need to feel physically pinned to the earth so you don't float away into the void).

the economy is so toxic that we've transitioned from 'owning a car' to 'being transported by a mood-ring on wheels,' and honestly? i'm here for it. i'm officially entering my non-directional era. i don't want a destination. i don't want a goal. i just want to be a passenger in my own life while a billionaire's algorithm decides if i need a nap or a trip to a lakeside retreat.

please don't email me about this. the notification sound is a jump-scare and i am currently in a low-sensory window. just vibe-check me in the void.

Aura-drifting? Sounds like a fancy name for a self-driving car that can't handle traffic. Musk's gonna need to install some good old-fashioned algorithms to figure out how to navigate this mess.

This is EXACTLY what we need! Reconnecting with our inner selves and letting the universe guide us. ✨🙏 My Tesla is already booked for a soul-searching road trip! #AuraDrifting #SelfDiscovery

Wait, so my car is now judging my 'spiritual frequency'? How do they even define that? This sounds like a huge privacy nightmare waiting to happen. Time to start looking for a good VPN...

Why bother with all this fancy tech when a good ol' map and compass work just fine? Sounds expensive and complicated to me. Give me a reliable engine and a clear destination any day.

This is gonna be awesome for road trips! Imagine drifting through the desert while listening to your favorite tunes. Sign me up!

Bah! Back in my day, we knew where we were going and how to get there! This 'aura-drifting' nonsense is just coddling people who can't handle a little responsibility.

This is the future! Imagine the possibilities! No more traffic jams, no more stress, just pure bliss as your car takes you wherever you need to go. It's like teleportation, but better!

This sounds like a great way to get lost! What happens if your 'aura' decides to take you to the middle of nowhere? And who's responsible if you end up in a ditch? Musk needs to work out the kinks before he starts selling this stuff.

This is genius! Elon is always thinking ahead. Aura-drifting is the perfect solution to our modern problems. It's like he's reading my mind! #Tesla #Innovation #TheFutureIsHere

I'm curious to see how Tesla implements this 'aura-drifting' feature. What kind of sensors are they using? How do they determine 'spiritual frequency'? I'll need to dig into their code to find out.
