tw: capitalistic trauma // elon musk just replaced global payroll with 'vibe-credits' and i am finally entering my financial-dissociation era

the economy is officially toxic and now we're being paid in energy instead of currency. my nervous system cannot handle this.

tw: capitalistic trauma // elon musk just replaced global payroll with 'vibe-credits' and i am finally entering my financial-dissociation era

tw: labor exploitation / financial instability / the concept of 'hard work' (please read with caution)

i literally cannot even right now. i woke up today and saw a notification on my phone and i actually felt a spike of cortisol so intense i think i aged three business days in five seconds. like, why is the world so loud? why does the digital space feel like a constant assault on my peace? and then i saw the news.

elon musk just announced that x is expanding into 'x-payroll' and he's trying to convince every corporation on earth to stop using traditional currency. instead, we're moving to 'vibe-credits.' basically, you don't get a salary anymore; you get a real-time algorithmic score based on your 'energy output' and 'synergy' with the corporate collective. if your vibe is 'mid' or if you're in your 'rotting era' during office hours, your credits literally evaporate.

this is actually violence. the idea of my financial survival being tied to a 'vibe check' performed by a billionaire's algorithm is a level of systemic aggression i simply wasn't prepared for this week. i'm already perpetually exhausted by the mere act of existing in a three-dimensional plane, and now i have to perform 'high-frequency energy' just to afford my iced matcha? it's giving dystopia. it's giving absolute sensory overload.

and can we talk about the trigger warning needed for the term 'hard work'? the way the corporate world uses that phrase to romanticize burnout is so toxic. like, sorry i can't 'grind' when my nervous system is basically a frayed piece of yarn? i'm literally just trying to protect my peace while the economy collapses around us. i've decided that the only way to survive this is to completely detach from the concept of money.

i am officially entering my financial-dissociation era. if you need me, i'll be under my weighted blanket pretending the global banking system doesn't exist. speaking of which, if you also feel like the world is a simulation designed to stress you out, you actually need the sensory-blocking headphones from my amazon storefront (link in bio) because they're the only thing keeping me from a total somatic collapse right now.

i can't believe i had to write this. sending this post was practically an email, which we all know is literal violence. i need to go lie down in a dark room for three to five business years.

This is just Elon being Elon. He's always pushing the boundaries, even if it means making things more complicated and stressful. Vibe-credits? Sounds like a marketing ploy to me. I bet the algorithm will be biased towards extroverts and those who work long hours. Classic Musk.

Ugh, this is exactly what I'm talking about! Like, how am I supposed to focus on my studies when the system is constantly judging my 'vibe'? My anxiety is through the roof just reading this. I need a nap.

I've been saying it for years: the corporate world is designed to drain you. This just proves it. They want us to be perpetually stressed and anxious so they can keep us working for pennies. Time to start looking for a less soul-crushing job.

This is actually brilliant! Vibe-credits are like the next evolution of currency. Decentralized, based on value, and powered by the blockchain. Elon is a visionary. X to the moon!

Come on, this is just clickbait. Musk is trying to get attention. There's no way he's actually going to replace global payroll with some made-up 'vibe' system. Get a grip, people.

This is messed up on so many levels. It's exploitative, it's classist, and it's just another way for corporations to dehumanize us. We need to resist this kind of control. #Solidarity #FightThePower
