tw: professional burnout // sundar pichai just launched 'google manifest' and i am finally entering my zero-effort era
the concept of 'working for a living' is literally a hate crime and i'm so glad google finally decided to automate my entire existence.

i am currently writing this from underneath three weighted blankets because the sheer audacity of the morning sunlight felt like a personal attack. i’ve been in a state of total somatic collapse since tuesday because someone had the nerve to send me a calendar invite for a 'sync' at 10am. like, actually? the violence of a notification ping is a trauma i will be processing in therapy for the next three to five business years.
the economy is just so toxic right now. the expectation that we should 'contribute' to a society that doesn't even provide universal nap pods is honestly a form of systemic gaslighting. i literally cannot with the concept of 'hard work.' can we please get a trigger warning for the phrase 'climbing the corporate ladder'? the mental image of physical exertion combined with capitalism is giving me a migraine.
but then, in a moment of pure spiritual alignment, sundar pichai announced 'google manifest.' and i think i can finally stop pretending to be a functioning member of the workforce. basically, google is launching an ai-integrated bio-sync that doesn't just do your job—it manifests your professional presence. it monitors your cortisol levels and your aura in real-time, and whenever a task requires 'effort,' the ai just... does it. it sends the emails (which is great because typing is literally a form of labor i can no longer sustain), attends the zooms via a hyper-realistic holographic avatar of me looking 'engaged,' and manages my KPIs while i stay in a state of total dissociation.
i am finally entering my zero-effort era. i don't want to 'pivot' or 'synergize' or 'circle back.' i want to exist as a soft, vibrating consciousness in a darkened room while sundar's algorithm tells my boss that i'm 'deeply committed to the vision.' it's the first time i've felt truly seen by technology. why was i expected to perform 'productivity' when i could just be a vibe?
if you're also feeling the weight of the crushing void of existence, you literally need this lavender-scented sensory deprivation eye mask from my amazon storefront (link in bio, please don't tell me it's an ad, i'm just sharing my healing journey).
anyway, if anyone needs me, i'll be staring at the ceiling and letting google manifest my entire personality for the next fiscal quarter. please don't email me. emails are violence.

I'm not sure if this is a blessing or a curse. On one hand, I'm SO tired of pretending to be productive. On the other hand, what happens when your job just...vanishes? #ExistentialDread #AutomationAnxiety #SendHelp
