so like, i am literally shaking right now holding space for my trauma after seeing the tech news this morning. zoom ceo eric yuan apparently woke up and chose violence by announcing 'zoom focus,' an ai update that literally scans your retinas to make sure you're looking at the screen during meetings. um, excuse me? perceiving me without my enthusiastic verbal consent is actually digital assault. sending a calendar invite was already literal violence, but forcing my physical eyeballs to engage with a quarterly earnings spreadsheet? that's just a toxic workplace trauma bond.

honestly the whole economy is so toxic right now. we are expected to 'pay attention' (huge red flag) when we should be prioritizing our internal healing. sam altman even tweeted that this retinal-tracking feature will 'increase worker output.' i'm sorry, but 'worker output' is a slur. my only output should be vibes and maybe a carefully curated spotify playlist. demanding that i remain physically present in a digital space is a macro-aggression against my peace.
